      Our Claims Process

      1. Connect with us

The first step is to reach out to us with a detailed account of what has occurred, including what has been damaged, what caused it, any third parties that were involved, and any steps that have been taken to prevent further damage. Additional information, such as the contact information of all parties involved, photos, or videos of the location/vehicle that suffered the loss, should also be provided when available.
      1. Policy review

After the claim has been reported to one of our brokers, we will review your current protection to determine how your policy will respond to the claim, any limits or deductibles that may be present, and what impact the claim may have on your policy moving forward.
      1. Claim submission process

Once we have gathered the required information, one of our brokers will interface with your insurance company to formally submit the claim. From this point, you will interface with the adjuster assigned by your insurance company. Our brokers will remain available to answer any questions that you may have throughout the claims adjustment process, and to advocate for you if you believe that the insurance company is not responding properly to your claim.
      1. Claim adjustment process

The insurance company adjuster will compare the details of the loss with the specific wordings and limits outlined in your policy. This was also completed by your broker at Northern Insurance in step 2, but must be validated by the insurer. If there are any discrepancies between our review and your insurer’s review, we will advocate on your behalf to ensure you receive the settlement that you are entitled to. In order to accurately evaluate the extent of the injuries or damage, your insurance adjuster may work with medical experts, appraisers, engineers, or contractors to lend their expert advice. Once the evaluation is complete, your adjuster will provide you with a list of preferred vendors who have been selected based on their ability to provide top quality repairs, their years of experience, and their reputation for professionalism.
      1. Repair or payment is arranged

Once the details of your claim have been reviewed and finalized, we will work with you, your adjuster, and your insurance company to arrange for repair of your property or payment. We are committed to providing you with flexible options, so you will receive your payment in the manner that’s most convenient for you. Our brokers will reach out to you one last time to confirm that the claim has been settled appropriately, and to answer any remaining questions that you may have.
